BOTOX in Beverly Hills, CA

What is BOTOX?

BOTOX is a drug made from a toxin that works by paralyzing certain muscles or blocking certain nerves. BOTOX has many medical applications, such as treating severe underarm sweating, chronic migraines, an overactive bladder, TMJ disorders, muscle spasms, and more. When used for cosmetic purposes, BOTOX temporarily smooths facial wrinkles and fine lines, resulting in a younger-looking appearance.

In addition to BOTOX, our office also offers Evolus, which works similarly to BOTOX. While BOTOX can be used for medical and cosmetic purposes, Evolus is solely dedicated to aesthetic improvements.

Benefits of BOTOX

  • Enhance your natural beauty and achieve smoother-looking skin
  • Injections are minimally invasive, take just a few minutes, and require no downtime
  • Immediate results
  • When administered by an experienced specialist, BOTOX injections are a safe and effective cosmetic treatment

What to Expect During BOTOX Treatment

During your appointment, Dr. Aynechi will answer any questions you have and make sure you know what to expect during and after your BOTOX treatment. Anesthesia is not necessary, although we may apply a numbing cream for your comfort. Once you are comfortable, we will inject the BOTOX into the targeted areas, which will feel like a small pinch. One injection takes about 10 minutes.

After your appointment, you can resume your normal routine right away, but should avoid vigorous activity for a few hours. The effects of BOTOX will last about 3 months, and you can maintain a consistent treatment schedule to ensure the longevity of your results.

BOTOX for TMJ Disorders

TMJ disorders occur when the jaw joint malfunctions. This may occur as the result of an injury, congenital defects, or taking certain medications. When this joint cannot function properly, the muscles around it tense up, which can cause problems for the mouth and jaw. If you have a TMJ disorder, you may experience symptoms such as:

  • Jaw tension, stiffness, or locking
  • Clicking or popping noises when opening the jaw
  • Headaches or migraines
  • Pain around the jaw joint or face

BOTOX can be used to treat some symptoms of TMJ disorders by decreasing pain and increasing the ability to move the jaw. Your surgeon will inject BOTOX into the temporomandibular joint and other areas as needed, such as the forehead, temple, or muscles around the jaw to help these muscles relax.

After receiving BOTOX for TMJ, you will notice some improvements right away, but it can take a few days to see a bigger difference. The frequency of BOTOX injections for TMJ will depend on your condition, although some patients can receive injections as often as every 3 months or so.

Facial Fillers in Beverly Hills, CA

What Are Facial Fillers?

Injectable fillers are placed under the skin in the face to smooth wrinkles and restore volume. You can receive a filler on the cheeks, lips, or around the mouth to improve facial contours and achieve a more youthful look.

Our office uses JUVÉDERM® fillers, which offer a line of products to suit the unique needs of every patient. JUVÉDERM fillers are made of a hyaluronic acid-based formula and have a smooth, gel-like consistency. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance within the human body that stimulates the production of collagen. As we age, the production of hyaluronic acid and collagen decreases, resulting in wrinkles and sagging skin.

Types of JUVÉDERM Fillers

There are several types of fillers available depending on the areas you wish to see improvement.

  • Lips—JUVÉDERM® VOBELLA® XC and JUVÉDERM® Ultra XC
  • Nose and mouth—JUVÉDERM® Ultra Plus XC and JUVÉDERM® VOLLURE® XC
  • Cheeks—JUVÉDERM® VOLUMA® XC

Benefits of Facial Fillers

  • Reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles
  • Restore volume to the face
  • Results are almost immediate
  • Fillers are completely customizable to achieve natural-looking results
  • Zero downtime

What to Expect When Getting Facial Fillers

During the procedure, your surgeon may numb the area with a numbing cream for your comfort and then inject the fillers into the target areas. The fillers are injected with thin needles, so you will only feel a slight pinch. JUVÉDERM fillers also contain a small amount of lidocaine to help reduce any discomfort you may feel during treatment.

After treatment, we will provide you with instructions to follow. You can return to your regular routine right away, but avoid vigorous exercise or substantial sunlight for 24 hours. You may experience some bruising or swelling around the affected area, but this will subside quickly. The results of JUVÉDERM last for about 18 months. You can undergo treatment sessions every 1–2 years, depending on your surgeon’s recommendation, to maintain the longevity of your results.

Types of Anesthesia

There are many types of anesthesia and sedation available.
